A child in a daycare center, that was open while undergoing remodling, allowed children to play in areas where there was debris laying around. One child, while playing with debris on the floor, swallowed a 4-inch nail. It turns out that one person working at the daycare center knew about the incident. No one called either 911, emergency numbers, or the parents. It took 4 days of severe tummy aches before some ER nurse thought to ask for X-rays. The nail showed up on the X-rays, and it took an endoscope and a grabber to remove the nail. - Taken from FOX News 12/19/06 Is it just me, or is there something wrong with this picture. Here's a few comments that have come to mind. Please bear in mind that these are simply opinions that I want to share. IMHO In an environment where people develop " at their own pace " and some things such as beliefs are held onto longer than others, I would not put my truth about such issues as Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Boogy Man, or some other imaginative creation into such a forum. I don't know enough about the dynamics of the spectrum to project what might happen in the minds of others. If I did know a lot more, I don't know what would happen to any particular one. IMHO That having been said, I think the practices and comments from parents concerning some of these have been insightful, original, and creative. Some nice person, here on this forum, sent me a link to a site that has access to state services. If it's not too trouble, I'd like to get that link again, please.
