Guest guest
I think with any service offered here, it's all Medicaid related. So if you don't have Medicaid and aren't rich to pay privately, it'd be difficult to get services - unless your child is greatly affected by autism, then perhaps they could get on a Medicaid Waiver program (child gets Medicaid), though I know funding availability affects that (Waiver program) so usually a waiting list for it. I believe all states have Medicaid Waiver programs (more than one program, depends on what the Waiver is targeted for as to services/eligibility). One here in NC targets those with mental retardation and/or a developmental disability, which autism usually falls under the DD one. There's another Waiver progam for disabled adults, one for medically involved children...for examples.
