What to do about my Autistic son's Tantrums??

Hello everyone, my name is Heidi, my son is 2 1/2 and he's

Autistic, He has alot of Tantrums and when he does, He bangs his head

all the time, I know it's not suposed to hurt him but I can't

comumnicate with him so he'll understand not to do this. He was

diagnosed last June and He's getting all kinds of therapy,

speech,aba,ect... I know he gets frustrated because he can't

communicate and my husband and I too , what i do is just grab him and

hold him till he settles down until the next tantrum , any advice from

anyone out there on what to do??? Thanks , Heid Van Oss sville,TN
