Guest guest
My daughter has asperger's, mild mr, and is hitting a LOT lately. She hits her little brother everyday for ANYTHING he does. Does anyone else deal with this type of aggression and how do you cope with it? She is twelve and he is only seven. She says she just should be sent away, ugh, she's not getting my social stories or anything we try. Thoughts, ideas? Thanks!~

Guest guest
Hormones....I have one almost 14, and she has been real agressive, and mouthy lately. She is not AS. She beats on her little brother ( 10) alot. But then again he is annoying. If any one has answer I would be glad to hear it. <mkisses@...> wrote: My daughter has asperger's, mild mr, and is hitting a LOT lately. She hits her little brother everyday for ANYTHING he does. Guest guest
all ican say is i have a hitter that is ten and an occasional hitter that is thirteen. for my ten year old, i delete his favorite recorded shows. that has helped a little (after some major hitting because of it) i have also started a plan to recognize why he hits, and try to avoid those situations or be there to help them before he gets angry enough to hit. next we are working on rewarding him for every half hour of no hitting. ( a treat) and things have improved. of course, my husband abandoned us last month, so things have also improved. I guess i can thank him for it. *smile* lisa B > > My daughter has asperger's, mild mr, and is hitting a LOT lately. She > hits her little brother everyday for ANYTHING he does. Guest guest
I always look for your answers because you are so optimistic sounding and happy. I'm sorry your husband abandoned ya'll. But I'm glad to hear you say you can thank him for that. I can't imagine doing this alone even if my dh is an excellent ostrich , he's still here for some support...I wish you the absolute best Toni ( ) Re: Adolsescents and hitting > all ican say is i have a hitter that is ten and an occasional hitter > that is thirteen. > > for my ten year old, i delete his favorite recorded shows. that has > helped a little (after some major hitting because of it) > i have also started a plan to recognize why he hits, and try to avoid > those situations or be there to help them before he gets angry enough > to hit. > > next we are working on rewarding him for every half hour of no hitting. > ( a treat) and things have improved. of course, my husband abandoned us > last month, so things have also improved.
