Guest guest Posted November 8, 2006 Report Share Posted November 8, 2006 , When my son had meltdowns at supermarkets, I tried hard not to leave the store. I would put him in the cart and take the cart to a remote part of the store. I would remove his shoes so he couldn't kick me with them, then in a very very quiet voice, I would tell him that we would leave as soon as he was quiet and we finished the shopping. I kept repeating it over and over. It worked for us. I don't know if it would work for anyone else.
