Guest guest
Hello. I was wondering if any of you have any ideas to get my son to learn. He is very bright, but as for the alphabet and numbers, he knows very little. He is doing a bit of sight word reading, and makes the letters but has no clue what they are. This is a child who can build things out of legos that I can't even imagine doing. I have tried to make letters out of the legos, but all he wants to build is trucks. My husband and I are very frustrated, and worry about him constantly. He has very little patience for paperwork in general. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ! Guest guest
Is he learning letter sounds or names or both? Has he tried learning them with plastic letters he can feel, trace with a finger and move around or alphabet blocks? Is he getting services thru school and they are out of ideas? Can he identify letters /sounds by pointing at them at all?
