Guest guest
There's a clear nail polish that tastes awful. It's specially made to prevent nail biting. You can apply it to your child's nails while he's sleeping so they just think that it tastes bad for no actual reason and will stop chewing on them. It worked for my sister when we were little!! <faithmmoore@...> wrote: Beck, Thanks for help on the GARS... I knew I didnt have it right.. What is an theratubing? Dose it help with nail biting? Guest guest
theratubing is a safe non toxic rubber tubing that kids can chew on to help alleviate boredom or the need for sensory stimulation in the mouth. My son has a small piece on a string that he wears like a necklace and he can shew on it when he likes. He also likes chew gum for the same reason but gum isn't allowed at kindergarten. We got our tubing from an O.T Beck ( ) Re: theratubing Beck, Thanks for help on the GARS... I knew I didnt have it right.. What is an theratubing? Dose it help with nail biting? Guest guest
Our OT suggested airline tubing for an aquarium because it is clear and less obtrusive for older children. She suggested just put a knot in the middle otherwise it becomes a big straw for spit. I like the idea of putting it on a necklace. ( ) Re: theratubing Beck, Thanks for help on the GARS...
