Community Events Notice

Elkridge - Norbel School, at 6135 Old Washington Road in Elkridge, land,

will host the 3rd Annual Dr. Norma Hauserman- Lecture on Wednesday March

8, 2006 beginning at 7:00 p.m. E. Spencer, Ph.D., will present Language

In the Real World. This lecture will examine the development of the ability to

communicate with others and the concurrent development of a wide range of social

and linguistic skills. Dr. Spencer will review new information as well as her

own experience to explore the effects of social context, play, and cognitive

development on communication.

E. Spencer, Ph.D., is a speech-language pathologist with over 30 years

of clinical and teaching experience. Her professional degrees are from Southern

Illinois University, Northwestern University, and the University of Oklahoma

Health Sciences Center. She worked as a speech-language pathologist in two

school systems prior to her 12 years in the Department of Speech-Language

Pathology-Audiology at Loyola College in Baltimore. She has been in private

practice in land for over 20 years. Dr. Spencer is the Coordinator of the

Greater Baltimore chapter of CHADD (Children and Adults with

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder).
