Guest guest
Congratulations and Ian. I can understand how emotional it must be, but I'm sure Dr. would only suggest such if he were convinced. Good luck at your appointment. Smiles all around. Jerry I can't believe it! Last week I took Ian to our local ortho for x-rays which I Fedexed to Dr. . I just picked up a message on my voicemail from Jane saying that Dr. doesn't think Ian needs to be in a brace any more!!!! He wants him to go three weeks without it and then get a follow up x-ray taken. She did say they still wanted us to keep our appointment next week, but it is my daughter's first week of Kindergarten and I really don't feel like I should leave her during a time of such big change. I am not sure why they still want us to come up, so I am anxiously awaiting a call back from Jane to get all of the specifics. BTW, the ortho here said the curve was so slight that she could not find the apex of the curve and therefore could not measure the curve. I could see a slight curve, but I guess it is too slight to measure. When I told Ian that he might not have to wear the brace anymore, I started to cry! I am excited yet scared at the same time esp since he was only in the brace for 4 months. Noelle (12-2-01) Ian (8-15-04)

Guest guest
, CONGRATULATIONS FOR IAN AND YOU!!!! This is GREAT news. I can definitely understand crying....it is soo emotional and scary not to have to wear the brace anymore. It almost becomes some kind of security for us the parents so we know the back will stay straight but I feel very confident in Dr. . Too bad you can't contact Dr. Khoury and let him know the GREAT news too. Just keep on HUGGING (that is my favorite thing to do when they are out of cast/brace)!!! goes to Erie on Friday, September 7th for her X-ray. I am NOW very nervous and anxious to see what happens!! She starts Preschool on Tuesday, Sept. 4th and she will be wearing her BRACE!! Hopefully, well I won't even say it because I don't want to jinx us. Congrats again and ENJOY!! > > > > Noelle (12-2-01) > Ian (8-15-04) > >
