Guest guest
Good for you! Congratulations on the diet...just wait for the weight to come off, then you'll REALLY feel good. Sheesh..... I HATE getting my period...and you are so happy about it... lol! Are you using ketostix to measure your level of ketosis? I don't think it is a coincidence! Good luck!
Bev
Guest guest
Yes, I am using Ketostix and since my 2nd day I've been in ketosis. Any idea on how to deal with those who feel this is an unhealthy way to lose weight long term? I've been told staying in ketosis for a long period of time isn't safe or healthy on the body.

~Tyra
Guest guest
Peggy, people who want a dr who do not force the vax on you, could look at the DAN doctor list. DAN doctors treat kids with vaccine-induced autism, so they are aware of what the vax do. I don't have the website for DAN drs but could ask around. >

Guest guest
That is great! Would you mind passing along his name and address and phone number to me privately. I keep a list going for new parents needing a good doctor. List Owner Mom2Q@... : Burley4 [mailto:burley4@...]Sent: Sunday, December 03, 2000 8:44 PMvaccinationsegroupsSubject: I can't believe it! About two months ago, the pediatrician I have used for four years now, told me that he could no longer see us because my children were not vaccinated. So I asked my midwife about peds in the area who would see unvaccinated children. She referred me to a female ped who just happened to be on my insurance. I called this peds office two weeks ago and was told that she was a very strong advocate of vaccinations, but that she would see my children just because she believes that all children should be entitled to medical care. How very noble of her...NOT. I was also told that she would "lecture" me each time she saw me about vaccines. Well, since she was the only ped on my insurance who would see my kids, I figured that I could live through a few lectures. This past week, I needed to have both of my children seen, so I gave her office a call. I was told that I couldn't see her because she was booked for new patients through mid January, but that I could see her partner. Of course, they could have told me this two weeks ago when I originally called them. Anyway, I agreed to see her partner and took my kids in. I went in prepared to defend my decisions. The initial paperwork that I filled out asked nothing about vaccinations. Then we went in to the doctor and he took a brief health history himself. When he asked about vaccinations and I told him that my children, ages 4 & 9, were not vaccinated, he didn't even flinch. I couldn't believe it! He turned out to be a very professional older man who really seemed to know his stuff. I left the office that day very happy because the vaccinations were not an issue. On the other hand, I was kind of deflated because I had prepared for a fight. LOL. I have since made him my childrens ped on my insurance. That part of my story had a happy ending. The bad part of the day turned out to be that my four year old has pneumonia. At least she didn't have to go into the hospital though. Take Care, Peggy
Guest guest
I had never heard of cats having thyroid problems before! LOL! It's really not funny, I guess. I know how awful I used to feel! Poor kitty! Grandma's giving Dusty the same nutritional supplement I'm taking to give her back her "umph." Maybe she won't have to be on the Tapazole for the rest of her kitty life that way. It'll be good for her, anyway. My dog, Maggie, is doing it, too. She's got arthritic hips at 13yrs. We thought we were going to have to put her to sleep a couple of years ago. She was falling down all the time and couldn't do stairs anymore. Lots of trouble getting up when she laid down. Now she gets around much better; even sneaks downstairs and pinches food out of the pantry, the little stinker! Donna http://trak.to/lifewww.reliv.comTake control of your health! Re: I can't believe it! Hiya Donna! Actually thyroid problems in cats is common, and it is quite funny for me to think I am on the same thyroid treatment as the cat you talked about. LOL. Course it helps I am a Leo so maybe that is why. Guest guest
Hmmmm...... I don't know that Dusty was losing lots of fur, but she's always been really skittish. Aren't we funny, though? Feeling strange about being on the same medicine as an animal. They do eat lots of the same things that we do, after all. And they're exposed to lots of the same toxants and pollutants as we are. It only figures that they might get some of the same diseases that we do. Donna http://trak.to/lifewww.reliv.comTake control of your health! Re: I can't believe it! Hi Donna, As you have now found out this is common in kitties. I had a friend call me, asher kitty had been diagnosed. And yes, same med...weird feeling. Her cat has responded very well to treatment and has become a much nicer cat. Not sospooky all the time. ( Can we all relate...LOL) I asked about hair loss.. Yep. Fur everywhere. We waited till meds kicked in and thenhad a big clean the house day. My friend has some movement problems, so the help wasneeded. This is a BIG job. Something to consider if your MIL might need help. Guest guest
Hi Janet Calvin was very slow to run a fever prior to IVIG treatment. It was frustrating as he would look really sick for a couple of weeks and then FINALLY spike a fever. Since IVIG/SubQIG Calvin runs a fever far more readily than before. This is not bad, as I understand it. It is a sign of a more aggressive immune system. Fever can actually help the fight against infection, too. Guest guest
First, keep track of how many sessions he has missed and request compensatory time. Second, ask the principal who the private ST should send the bill to since if they can't find a replacement, they can pay for a private ST to do the work outside of school. And you are right - what a lousy administor to know she's having a baby and not bother to find a replacement or make other arrangements as necessary. RoxannaAutism Happens ( ) I can't believe it! Guest guest
My son told me he hasn't had his speech teacher in a while. she sometimes pops up in his classroom, gives a look at his work then leaves. He told me she explained to him she has too many kids. that's why she hasn't been seeing him. Funny how they never told me anything. but, at this next team meeting that will come up. The only reason why he told me this is because I asked him what are you doing in speech. He said, I haven't seen her. hummm for September, I will ask, that a communication book to be added into his IEP. Now I know why they wanted to do away with the communication book. That keeps the parents too informed. because I would of known about everything a lot sooner. The communication book is a necessity for the parents, teachers too.Delores Goneau <dgoneau@...> wrote: My son came home from school today and again told me he didn't have speach class (today made the third week) So I call the board of education, they tell my I have to call the school principal,so I do She tells me that the speach teacher had a baby the day before Easter break. They haven't found a new one yet.UUUMMMM! Guest guest
I would have this written in his IEP - that someone will check his communication folder each day. Then when they don't, each time they don't, contact the school principal or the head of sped and complain, following up with a written complaint that the IEP is not being followed. Eventually, someone will be made to follow the IEP or you can file a complaint with your state department of education. I would bet it does not have to get that far, though.
