wierd and unusual obsessions

I was just wondering.. Do any of your kids have unusual things they

are obsessed with? I read that it is common with AS. My son's thing

is Warner Brothers and other movie logos. Not the characters, just

the logo itself, 20th century fox, Columbia Tristar, etc.. But

mostly WB. He will be 6 in 3 days and we actually got him a Warner

Bros. Cake. He just draws these logos over and over and writes movie

words. He absoultely LOVES movie theaters and dvds. He won't watch

the movie, just the end credits and reads the back of the box. (He

is hyperlexic) I could name any movie and he can tell you what it's

rated. Also he will go online and save the pictures of the logos and

movie ads, then create a slideshow and look at them. He has had

this " obsession " since age 2, in fact the first word he wrote at age

2 1/2 was " Columia Tristar Home Entertainment " He is just amazing on

the computer and I have learned things from him that I didn't know!

Most kids in a store wants toys.. not him he wants to read the dvd's

then pick 1 to buy I don't tell many people about this because

they will probably think it's strange and unless you understand AS

which I found most people don't.. they just don't get it. I

would just like to hear about some other " wierd obsessions " so that

I know we are not alone Thanks Tammy
