Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I know that we had a discussion going awhile back about problems with writing. My 5(almost 6) year old son is doing some writing in school during what they call writers workshop and he is having some problems staying on task I guess you could say. He will not do it and ends up walking around the classroom. I am wondering if this is common in children with AS and if so what is the best way to handle it? We are still waiting for the IEP to go through but I thought I would get some suggestions for the teacher to try in the mean time. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi , Has the teacher tried to figure out why he won't do it? Is writing hard or uncomfortable for him? I know my son hated to write and draw at that age. His teachers (wisely) mostly didn't force the issue.
