Before I knew where he was getting the inappropriate comments I was mortified when something would come out at the wrong time. One summer we drove to my parents and the kids watched Happy Gilmore--colorful language and all -another story--anyway after we got there we were in the neighborhood pool. My son pops up out of the water and blurted something out. I was as usual dumbfounded by what he was saying, but a lifeguard that was a teenager looked at him and said " HAPPY GILMORE!!! " . All I could think was " Oh! MY GOODNESS!! somebody understands!!! From then on I understood and remembered the things he says he is memorizing from movies and t.v. and not to get into a twist about it. Now I just look at him and say " where did you get that one from??!! " And I don't get into a twist about it.
