Guest guest
If any of your children hate having their hair washed, I've found something great called " No Rinse Shampoo " , where no water is necessary. Just put some on their head, rub in, and towel off. It is used by NASA astronauts. It really solved some problems for us. I got mine from Amazon.com. Penny > > Hi Penny, > I bought a small set of shears and tried to cut my son's hair and it was a nightmare. He wiggled and screamed and I got two strips up the back of his head before I gave up. Plus I did a lousy job - I've never cut hair before.... > > Here's what we do now - I take him to Great Clips on a weekday afternoon when it's slow and no wait. The reason I go to great clips is because it doesn't have a lot of oders and it's pretty sparse (weekday afternoons there are only 2 haircutters and maybe one other customer) and they're good a cutting hair really FAST.... I tell her he doesn't need a great cut - just a fast 'short' cut that will last a couple of months. > > But here's the cincher (I probably shouldn't admit it....) I bribe him with a trip to the toy store afterwards if he'll sit there until it's done..... it's costly but it works. Last week was haircut day, and it was quite traumatic, as usual. I'm wondering if I should buy a haircutting kit and do it myself. Dh says not to, as he needs to get used to this sort of thing in life.
