Guest guest
HI, I have a grandson with PDD. He is a great kid and very bright. He is on risperdal and doing quite well. He still is a little difficult to deal with when he has a melt down, but those have been fewer this school year so far. I am sitting for him now, but I need to go back to work. His mom just got a new job but had lost her last one to being called out of work all the time by the daycare. (disinterested monitarily, divorced dad) This is our biggest pressing problem, right now is finding appropriate daycare for before and after school and school days off. We have managed to get 600 hours of respite care from ARC and Easterseals, but that won't be enough, and so far we have the hours but not the sitter. Does anyone have any ideas or what did someone out there do to remedy this situation. My daughter doesn't make a lot of money and couldn't pay much for a sitter. Conner, my grandson, is on SSD but when my daughter works, they take that money away from her. Although, he still gets medicaid. Thanks for any suggestions!
