Guest guest
My 14yo aspie has had a few very short term e-pals, but he's always looking for more. I've set up a email account for him, I know his pass word, and he understands that I will be monitoring his incoming and outgoing messages, only for his own safety. Then also, when he gets himself grounded from the computer, I can hop on and let the pals that have emailed him know that he won't be on for a week or whatever. Sometimes it's hillarious what these kids say. One aspie pal, who's supposed to be 8, says his favorite TV shows were something on " adult swim " ....it's very hard for me to imagine ANY parent, no matter how disinvolved in their children's lives they may be wouldn't notice & put an end to that! Or another one that got me chuckling... " Pokemon is sooo stupid and lame...only losers like it...my favorite pokemon is Ekans " He likes chatting with kids of all ages, and gender doesn't seem to matter to him either. His name is & his email is megaman_ak@.... Guest guest
sounds like a good idea to me, my son is 14 and loves video games, star wars, lord of the rings and japanese anime... Thanks!! ( ) Anyone interested in setting up internet " pen pals " for our kids.... Anyone here interested in setting up pen pals for our kiddos? Maybe a one on one would be a better start for some of them. We could help set the dialog at first by having a " questionaire " for the kids to fill out to " meet " their pen pal, maybe some topics of interest afterwards and then let them go with it. Guest guest
I would love to do this too!!! Can you let me know.. All the details when you set it up! Chase is 10 and I am in Canada. I have a my space.. Do have a chat room? Where we can exchange this information? When I did it in my msn group it was loads of fun.. We even did seed exchanges so the kids could grow their own veggies.. And actually EAT them too ( method to our madness...
