I took to a music festival last weekend.

The week before, we were at a free concert in the same park and he

was so excited about the instruments, he was invited on stage during

the intermission to try out the drums. I was thrilled for him but in

the back of my mind thinking... " crap...now when we come Sat. for the

music festival, he's going to think he can jump up on stage and

drum!! "

When Saturday rolled around, I explained to

him that he couldn't go on stage and play drums but he could bring

his guitar with him and play along with the music. So...someone from

the newspaper saw a great photo op...and here he is (he's the one in

the red shirt and hat with the guitar)

Wow! That is such a great picture! And what a day to

remember! It is such a great part of our children's

history!

My son went to a " Snow Camp " in PA this past Feb. with

his youth group. On the church's youth website, they

had posted pictures from the trip. I thought they were

going to be individual pictures that the chaperones

had taken. But it was a link to the snow camp itself

and when I was scrolling down the pictures, one of

them is my son doing archery!!!! I couldn't believe he

did it and there he was on the camp's website. They

had chosen that picture as one to post on the site! So

it is all very exciting when our children are chosen

for something like this (outside of autism!)
