Hi everyone,

Well will be 3 on the 18th of February and he just had his evaluation

with the local school district and their PPCD *Preschool Program for Children

with Disabilities* Program. He was evaluated by an OT and she said that as of

right now, she doesn't think his SPD is bad enough that it will hinder is

abilities in the classroom, but that she wouldn't make a final report until she

has had a chance to observe him in a classroom setting. He did qualify for the

program because of his speech delays as well as delays in some other areas. I'm

not sure what all delays they suspected cause it was a lot of stuff comming in

info wise. I am assuming we will go over all of it at the ARD meeting. His ST

also told me about a home health program that I could use even while he's

getting therapy at school. The company she works for is a home health company.

They also accept Medicaide. The good news is that is current ST's boss used to

be 's ST before his new one took over. So her boss said

that if the ST could fit him into her schedule that she could continue to see

him even after he graduates ECI. I was really relieved to hear that because I

think that both his ST and her boss are wonderful speech therapists. I just wish

his current ST would get into his mouth more and do more oral motor excercises

instead of just working on pronunciation and that sort of stuff. Anyway, just

wanted to let you all know what has happened lately. Thanks for all the help

along the way.
