I am not sure if our son has this problem or not all I know is that he pees

everywhere and constantly gets urine all over himself. He is only 5 but it's

drivingus nuts as once he gets even a drip on his clothes he demands to get

changed.

Why not ask him to sit down to pee?

Sneak preview the all-new .com. It's not radically different. Just

radically better.

I don't know if mine was afraid, but he just didn't do it. I decided

the best way to handle that was to have him help clean it up. Not

angrily, just matter-of-fact. You made the mess, you have to help

clean it up. Only took a couple of clean ups before his aim improved

dramatically!

My son who is now 11 has just started standing up when urinating this

year. Before that, he always sat down and pushed in down. The

problem I have with him is that he still has bowl movements in his

pants. He gets very constipated because he doesn't try to go. He told

me this morning that he can't go in the toilet and how about I get some

tight underpants and a trashbag. I've asked him if he knows when he

has poop in his pants and he says no, he can't tell. He lies if I ask

him if he needs to change his pants. I tell him I know he does because

I can smell it. He has super smelling cabablilities with everything

else, I don't understand why he can't smell his dirty pants and realize

that other people can smell it also. Another thing, he refuses to

blow his nose. He will sniff it in instead of blow it out then

complain about stuff in his throut. I try to tell him if he would blow

the stuff out of his nose it wouldn't go down his throut but he doesn't

beleive me. I don't know what it is with Aspies and bodily fluids.

Nope.. Not that specific problem.. But.. I do begrudge the day my husband

taught my boy to stand up! Until then I had taught him to sit down!

It's not explosive, I think there is just so much of it backed up in

there it just comes out. He only gets dairy products on very special

ocations. When he was younger he got so many ear infections he had 4

sets of tubes in before he was 4 years old. When then ENT let his

ear drum bust at age 4 I switched ENT. The new ENT told me to keep

him away from dairy products and he's only had 1 ear infection

since. The since/ear infections were caused by an allergic reaction

to the milk. I give him rice milk which makes the BM smell even

worst. We are trying myrilax <?> a percription lazitive to see if

that will make it easier for him to go. He does at times still wet

himself when he is too involved in a video game or puzzle.

Not exactly the same. I'm so grateful for my MIL for teaching my

husband to sit down when he urinates at home. We taught our son the

same thing. It's sooooo nice not to have to deal with the mess. He

actually freaks out when others come to visit and miss, leave the seat

up, and so on.

Now, the BM's on the other hand..... My son is 8, and is still very

timid about wiping his butt. He will take the TP and pull it from the

roll to his butt, wipe timidly, and pull some more towards him, without

breaking off the TP. It's one long piece of toilet paper! I still have

to wipe him after he's done to make ensure he's clean.

nose but he just does not get it. I don't know what that's about.
