It's funny you should send me this info. I was looking into an Advocacy

group locally to help families new to the system and AS. I probably wont

make much difference since I'm neck deep in it myself, however a lot of

people have questions regarding symptoms in early childhood & we have

already been there. Anyway, I have to go to Richmond to become an Advocate

first. So, thank you for the address & phone #. I will call on Monday.

How do you find all this info?? As much as I'm on my computer to work, I

rarely have time to surf the net, so to speak.

Yes, she does. And we think she has anticardiolipin syndrome as well,

which is an autoimmune condition. Which means that she's a lifer on

Coumadin. Ugh. But, to look on the bright side, at least they have

these meds now!

, I work as a Special Education Family Support Coordinator for my

local Parent Information Network, so I have a lot of time to research supports

and resources. You may also want to contact your local Autism Society and

your school district's Local Advisory on Special Education to get further

information about what is out there as far as resources in your area.

Thank you for the info. My son was accepted today in a Day Treatment

program at another HS. Yeah!! He is out of the school that scares him so

bad. Maybe tonight we will actually sleep. Reading thru the last two days

of posts & I see most people have the same problems at night. My son slept

in a sleeping bag beside my bed until he was 6 & we didn't even know what AS

was. It's funny to look back, now that there is so much more info out

there. Anyway, thanks for the links.

Take care,
