Guest guest
I mix my son's Kirkman's CLO in pear sauce, and he takes it fine. I did start out with just a drop, and work slowly upward. We use the unflavored version, as he's highly reactive to phenols. Debbie
Guest guest
I'm using Kirkman's lemon lime cod liver oil (CLO), too. I use a squirter to squirt it in my son's mouth (and mine). It's best to give the cod liver oil on a full stomach, otherwise, it can make you queasy. I give my son a drink of juice right after the CLO. I have read that CLO and fish oil in gelatin capsules is less effective; I don't like the idea of gelatin, anyway. I don't know if you could mix CLO with anything (except maybe Frontier flavoring); oil and water don't mix. Guest guest
All I can add is that we use Nordic Naturals ProEFA (for our Omegas). I refrigerate it because if I don't, we burp throughout the morning -- which is still yucky, even though it has a lemon-lime scent (sorry). If I refrigerate it, we almost never burp. I don't know why that is. I also think cold supps have less taste. For my ds, I " mix " the oil with about 3/4 tsp of juice in a syringe, which he loves and takes with no trouble. I swallow my own gel-cap whole. HTH, > I tried the Kirkman's Cod Liver Oil, lemon lime flavored, just 1/4 > teaspoon to see what it tastes like before I give it to my daughter.
