Hello,

I've recently been refered to this web site.

I have twins 3 Years & 9 mo. old

My daughter, Elena, has multiple food allergies. Her eczema has never been

really bad, but she rashes out behind the knee and sometimes wrists and elbows.

She has had blood work for IGE and is positive for everything under the sun:

wheat, oat, rice, corn, orange, strawberry, egg, seseame, nuts, peanut, and milk.

The milk actually had the lowest score, but still in mod. to high.

We have stayed away froom nuts, peanuts, & eggs (she had full body hives with

these, and the one time peanut required one shot of epi. She seemed to

tollerate the rest of the foods. So she has been a milk drinker, and wheat

sandwich eater for quite some time. She also has outdoor allergies. We started

her on Zyrtec, liquid, shortly after her 2nd birthday. We have had to use

albuteral nebulize Tx when her colds settle into her chest. Which wasn't that

much at 2 years old. At 2 1/2 years of age we moved from NJ to FL and

discovered she also has exercise induced asthma, especially during temperature

changes, and cold weather. Currently at 3 1/2 she has had several colds, that

have turned into liquid filled lungs, and we have added pulmicort to the

albuteral. It seems that her health is getting worse. In addition to the

pulmicort and allergist took her off of zyrtec and put her on Ryna - 12 (1/2

antihistamine 1/2 decongestant).

What to do to get her healthy, and reduce her asthma?

I've bought rice milk, and have sampled some glutin free breads. Only 2 days

with the breads, and just gave the rice milk tonight. She drank it though :-).

Second issue, her twin son. Very, very picky eater. Will only eat bread,

cheese, apples, grapes, bananas, & sometimes pears. No meat, no veggies, except

for Clausen pickles. Has a very hard time with transitioning, very determined,

wants to do what he wants to do, and will tantrum when he doesn't get his way.

He will willingly skip meals that don't have the foods he wants.

Help, support, what worked for you, I'm very concerned about my daughters asthma

problems, even though she looks pretty darn healthy compiared to other allerigic

and asthmatic children.

Thank You, (p.s. haven't read the enzyme book yet)
