Guest guest
Hi ! I was hoping you might be able to help me on a question I have regarding an option to Vioxx. My 70 year young mother was taking Vioxx to help with her arthritis pain (mainly in her arms and hands). It's been removed from the market and she would prefer to use something natural if it will help with the pain. I found a supplement at " Whole Health Products " that seems good but wanted to get your thoughts on it too. Do you feel that either of the two products listed below would a good option to try? Do you feel they are healthy? I'm not too sure about the " Chondroitin sodium " 1200mg. The 1st supplement is called: Glucosamine+Chondroitin+Potasium+MSM Serving size: 3 capsules Amount per serving: Sodium...................... 110 mg Potassium................... 245 mg (as Potassium Chloride) Glucosamine Sulfate......... 1100 mg (from 1500mg Glucosamine Potassium Sulfate Complex) Chondroitin Sodium.......... 1200 mg (from Bovine Cartitage) MSM (as Lignisul MSM)....... 300 mg Other Ingredients: Gelatin (capsule) & Magnesium Stearate. The 2nd supplement option is called: Joint Fortify Serving size: 3 tablets Amount per serving: Vit B-3.................... 100 mg Vit B-5.................... 100 mg Vit B-6.................... 50 mg Vit C...................... 100 mg Magnesium (Oxide).......... 200 mg Zinc (Picolinate).......... 15 mg Manganese.................. 7 mg (Amino Acid Chelate) Copper " .................. 3 mg Glucosamine HCI............ 1000mg Boswellin.................. 300 mg (Standardized Herbal Extract of Boswellia Serrata) Sea Cucumber............... 150 mg Bromelain.................. 150 mg (2000 GDU activity from Pineapple)(both my parents like this) PABA....................... 100 mg Alfalfa Juice Concentrate.. 100 mg Other Ingredients: Magnesium Stearate. She's taking Zyme Prime off and on....could taking it more than once a day help with arthritis? She's also taking a Cholesterol medication (starts with the letter " Z " ) since diet and exercise wasn't lowering it. Thanks so much for any suggestions....
