Guest guest
Hello all, My 4 nearly 5 yrs old is doing surprisingly well with Houston Enzymes, present school are giving them, and new school for September are sounding positive about them, because they have had feedback from present school and an education officer from his IEP panel. The only trouble is that he does not swallow capsules, so they are mixed in a cordial, or apple sauce, or custard or yoghurt, all of which are sweet. I am trying to get him to drink my own pear juice, but this is not a winner. I have never seen pear juice sold in a supermarket or health food shop in the UK. His stimming (wiggling two small objects in front of eyes, whilst woo wooing and running up and down), has increased a lot. I know I should be looking at something more specific to target yeast, but the idea of being absolutely sugar, fruit, yoghurt free leaves me little option for hiding enzymes. Would it be a waste of time to try and treat yeast if I am still giving him fruit cordial? On a positive note, I heard him ask his little brother what he thought about something. I was jumping up and down whilst brushing my teeth next door. He has never asked that question before, it is less than a year since his first WHY question when he was 4. Something is going in the right direction. Sue (UK)
