Maribeth,

Generally, the racoon eyes, or dark circles, indicate that something

is not agreeing with the body (could be a detox reaction, food or

chemical intolerance, yeast, phenol intolerance).

How long have your been giving enzymes? It *might* be from the

papain/bromelain, but it might be a detox reaction. It isn't clear

from your message if the enzymes were new or the supps new or both at

the same time.

>>>> Currently he's taking CLO, Brainchilds Spectrum II, B6 (P5P),

Pro-Bio Gold and Primal Defense.

In this list, the B6 and Primal Defense stand out as possible

offenders. Hold the B6 as it is a big offender for many spectrum

people particularly if you have phenol intolerance, toxin loads, or

react negatives to artificial additives (B6 is derived from coal-like

like artificial additives). If you want to try the B6, dose it slowly

and separately.

Primal Defense tends to provoke extreme reactions: either someone

loves it or they get really ill. Not much inbetween. Don't know why.

Do you do epsom salts? That can help with detox.

I just started the enzymes yesterday - the Peptizyde and the Zyme Prime. I'm

giving about 1/4 cap. with each

meal. He has been on these supplements since March 04 and he seemed to be ok

with them - he takes 1/2 of the B6

at night. I stopped all supps about a month ago b/c he had a terrible bout of

diarrhea. (though it may have been

caused by something in the pool water...). I was about to send in a stool sample

but the loose stools stopped. So, now,

I am reintroducing each supp to see how each affects him...and actually, the

most recent additions have been

the Primal Defense and the enzymes. He didn't seem to have this reaction to the

PD before??

Do you have any other rec. for another good Pro-Biotic? He also has a cold right

now - could that have

anything to do...

Thanks

My son has had this the last few days also. We are going into our

3rd week on the enzymes but I did just increase the SCD ZP and AFP

Pep from 1/2 a cap to a full cap each. I spent about an hour or more

searching the archives last night and everything I read either said

detox reaction or intolerance. I'm hoping for detox reaction.

We live in Ohio and right now it is the pollen season. This is the

only time of year that some of my kids and me get bad allergic

reactions (sometimes asthma). So some of us are looking like

raccoons right now. :)
