Guest guest
Hi , I can't answer your question regarding the supplements. I just wanted to say how great it is to hear of her improvements, and the new things that she is suddenly doing. That's great. We all need great stories like these to keep us going. Guest guest
Hi : I think we are about 6 weeks behind you. This week was the first week I have seen that is not cranky, frustrated, angry. He also has not done much of the giggly thing either. I am doing the PEP and PZ with all meals and an extra in between breakfast at home and lunch in school as he is eating again when he gets to school. I am doing 2 candex in am and pm (purify the same?) and 1 culturelle am and pm. I have recently added inositol for OCD. Not seeing anything yet but I just started and very very low dose. Not seeing any negatives to this. I was wondering what I should do next too. I have mag and calcium in the house. Had a problem with these at first. I was figuring on 1000mg of CA to 500 mg of Mag (when i ever get to start it again, i will start slowly of course) but these were the target ranges I thought he should have for his age. I noticed in your post that you are giving 800 mg Mag. total. May I ask you how you came up with this number? I just want to make sure I do it right and I know your daughter is a teenager so closer to s age. I was also looking into 5HTP to add to inositol. Anybody out there have any comments on that or suggestions I should say. Then there's the Cod Liver Oil-Seems from what I am reading more people are adding this before anything else. When you add these things do you just give the dosage for age on the bottle or do we have to take into account their Autism? I have seen Moodsync mentioned also. Is this better than the 5HTP. As far as the Candex goes it seems people are giving maintenance dose of 1 am and 1 pm after they feel the yeast is gone. I know the culturelle can be used as maintenance. What about the Candex? I am sure these have all been answered at some time so please forgive me for repeating the questions. The B-12 seems to be something alot of people are using also. So here I am too. I am not seeing the results that all of you are with the enzymes, but I attribute that to age. I have ordered the Element hair kit and I am anxious to see where we are at with that. I know i haven't answered any of your questions, just added mine to yours. Guest guest
I think with our older kids it does take longer to see results because they have had more years of damage. We started enzymes around the middle of August and while we starting seeing some good after three to four weeks, we are really just now in the last few weeks really noticing more improvements. I tried the 5HTP and didn't see much of anything. In fact I wasn't sure it didn't cause problems. I arrived at 800 mg of magnesium because the tablets are 400 mg and I decided to give two a day. There was really no reasoning, I just did it that way and it seems to be working. I did start out with just one in the morning for a while. I also think my daughter has done better with magnesium alone without the calcium. Don't know why. I am using Purify to help with viral issues. We have done cod liver oil in the past, but haven't tried it in a long time. That may be something we will try again. We have a prescription for B12 shots, but I am just hesitating with that for some reason. I'll be interested in hearing if you see any positive results from the inositol. As I said we are still having vocal stims, lots of jabbering at times, but the small things we are seeing are really exciting. The other night she actually called me from another room. Sounds like a small thing, but for us it's BIG. She also came and got me wanting to show me something she was doing on the computer. That's having an interest in joint attention, something very new. I know we have a very long way to go and probably much more to try, but I am so glad to at least feel like we are making real progress. I keep holding my breath waiting for a crash. any suggestions- others >Date: Fri, 10 Dec 2004 14:28:59 -0600 > >My daughter is doing really well, but of course I'm wondering what if >anything else I might need to add. >Right now she is getting AFP Pep with meals and snacks. Guest guest
We have been waiting for what seems like a lifetime to have these good stories. Just today at school, the male aide was on the computer and Mikelyn wanted to play her game. She went up and asked, " You want to get off the computer? " He asked her if she wanted to use the computer and she answered " yes. " Just six months ago this exchange would not have happened. As I said I just keep holding my breath. Re: any suggestions- others Hi , I can't answer your question regarding the supplements. Perhaps, or she might have a strain of yeast that is resistant to Diflucan and you might need another yeast killer. > Oh and should I keep giving the Purify after we finish this bottle? Thanks for any input. I would. It took me an entire year of anti-virals before the virus/es were gone. Dana
