I tried the Brainchild vitamins/minerals for both my

kids for 3 weeks and they made things worse. My son

became more constipated and lost his appetite, and had

more autistic like behaviors. Also, my kids hated the

taste of both the minerals and vitamins. I am glad I

only bought the trial size. Juli

I wrote what my son needed for that problem here

http://www.danasview.net/issues.htm

If this is a new behavior tho, it is probably the supplement.

B vitamins tend to feed yeast, which caused visual stims for my son,

so consider increasing your yeast protocol and see if that helps.

This can mean zinc deficiency. For my #3, it meant he was eating

foods or supplements he did not tolerate, or he had a yeast overgrowth

issue.

Hi,

When we first started Brainchilds SSII, we also noticed an increase

in stims (for us vocal stims) and hyperness that just wouldn't

subside. We were seeing some really good things along with it as

well. We decided to back down to the SSII with PAK and that made

the difference with the stims. The positive also decreased.

However, I think my son is beginning to tolerate them, so in a few

months, we will start to slowly replace the SSII with PAK to the

regular SSII and see if he does better.

Hi There,

I saw that you already received some good advice on here, just wanted to

add .02, for what it's worth. These are not things we hear a lot from

parents with kids starting our supplements. What these things say to me

from my experience of talking with many other moms and dealing with this in

my own child, is that you may have some kind of yeast or bacterial thing

going on, and/or a die off from same.

As the company that sold you the supplements, we would suggest that you try

reducing the dosage by 50% for 4-7 days, and see if the symptoms subside,

just to confirm for yourself whether they are an issue. My gut feeling

(pardon the pun) is that this is a gut problem, not a supplement

reaction. I will say that we believe that our supplements do change the pH

balance in the gut, toward making it unfriendly to bad flora. In some kids

this means that some flora that's been living happily there can no longer

do so. So what you're seeing could be due to die-off. If this is the

case, then the usual stuff you do for die-off might help. Speaking as a

representative of Brainchild, I can't give you any treatment advice, but

just ask the others on the list and you'll get lots of suggestions of

things that seem to help.
