Dear Alice,

Did you son have any negative reactions to the Hyland Hayfever until his

system got used to it? I just started the tablets with my 15 year old

daughter today and she has been more whiney, irritable, spacey and wide-eyed

today. I may drop the dosage down to the children's amount and see if that

helps, but would appreciate any feedback from you.

Thanks in advance,

The way homeopathy works is that you give the " minimum dose " .

You only give the remedy until you see results, then you stop.

If the symptoms return, then take the remedy again. The only

reason it says to take every ___ hours is that it is required by

the FDA...

I've never noticed any negative effects from it. Last year was the

first time we tried the Hyland's Hayfever when my son seemed to be

reacting to something that couldn't be pinpointed to anything (we are

on the Feingold diet). This time around, someone here mentioned that

his tic could be caused by high pollen. So we are trying that

again. Sorry I wasn't more of help to you.

When it says on the bottle to give 2-3 tabs for adults, half that for

children, is that the minimum dose? If not, how do I find out what

the minimum dose is? The reason I ask is, I started with the

Hyland's Hayfever for my son, 1 tab 2-3 times a day. He is taking it

for a tic, a reaction to the pollen. The tic went away almost

completely, so I still gave it to him twice a day. Yersterday and

today, his tic is as bad as it was before we started the Hylands. Am

I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Don't go by what the bottle says!

Stop once the tics go away and do not give again until the

tics come back. If you give too much (sounds like you did),

then the problem can come back. Do not give any more and

wait to see if the tics subside...if they do, do not re-dose unless

the tics come back again.
