Guest guest
My son has not been playing with toys at all lately. He would much rather open windows, the dishwasher, doors, cabinets etc. and slam them. This is really all he has been wanting to do, and he will not stop when asked. He seems to be less and engaged and have less eye contact. He does like to go outside and ride his trike, play in the pool and swing. We began Methyl B12 injections about 2 months ago. We have been trying to fight a yeast issue with nystatin, but do not know if we are succeeding. He has been eating more fruits, having popsicles and drinking more juice. I know that that feeds yeast and probably not doing him any good. His stools have been really mushy again. He has been on the GFCD diet for 1 1/2 years and we have him on numerous supplements, including enzymes. His behavior has really been difficult. I know it is probably partially sensory based, but I do not know what else could be causing this besides possibly yeast. I feel like he has regressed. He was doing really well. Does anyone have any suggestions ? Thanks. Ramona
Guest guest
Ramona, Could you supply a little more information, please? What happened with the B12 shots? Anything? >>>> He has been on the GFCD diet for 1 1/2 years and we have him on > numerous supplements, including enzymes. What does he eat on GFCF diet? What type of enzymes do you give and how much? Often the foods given on GFCF can promote yeast (gums, starches, rice, sugars, commercially processed GFCF foods). But some people don't give those foods, that is why I ask. You also said he was 'doing well' and then slid. How long was he doing well and what do you think contributed to that? Thanks so much, . Guest guest
> We began Methyl B12 injections about 2 months ago. My kids needed B12 with folic acid or they would have major problems. They needed B12 with TMG to prevent scripting. And B12 can feed yeast. We have been > trying to fight a yeast issue with nystatin, but do not know if we > are succeeding. The dose I was giving was too high, and he needed it with folic acid. Once I reduced the dose and gave folic acid, he was fine. Dana
