Hi ,

I brought this topic up with my DAN Dr. and although certainly

there are foods that are reactive, he said if you know a food is non

reactive but want to limit feeding the yeast, to use this formula:

For every 10 lbs of the child, give 3 grams of Charbohydrate. My son

is 30 lbs, so we try to limit carbs to 9 gram servings. Now, this is

not a lot.. 1/2 pc of rice bread, and I usually go over, to about 15

gms. And it does require feeding my son more often, we went to 6

mini meals a day instead of 3 large ones. My Dr said that this

formula will control how much " extra " gets dumped into the large

intestine to feed the yeast. Now, my question would be--as I am new

to enzymes, would the use of enzymes put this theory to rest? As the

enzymes are helping the body digest the extra carbs anyway?

For my kids, yeast in the bms usually looks like mucus or strings of

melted cheese in the bms.

For my kids, this would have meant that they did not tolerate the

food. It would not have been related to yeast.
