Guest guest
Hi Today I started GSE by Nutribiotics in her juice to see if this may help the night wakes and some remaining issues of hand stimming and a few others (toe walking, repetitive speech, etc.) Someone mentioned something about these causing a bacteria problem? >>>This is about upsetting the balance and swinging too hard in one direction. GSE is a great yeast buster but tends to get all of it - good and bad stuff so short course are best then replenish with good probiotics (good gut flora) and once that is established it helps to keep the bad stuff under control. This isn;t a one time treatment, all sorts make the pendulum swing one way or the other so you'll get real good at it after a while LOL. Keeping the diet low in sugar is a must and something I found very difficult on the CFGF diet as Sam wouldn;t eat veggies and meat then. Can I give her something along with the GSE to prevent this from happening? >>>Stop the GSE after a week at most (I used to do 3 days) and give some probiotics Also, can you reccommend any enzymes you would start with? >>>HNI Peptizyde or HN Zyme from houstonni.com Her first appt. with a DAN doc is on December 29th so I'm not sure what's going on with her yet but I want to get going on something. >>>HNI enzymes are a great place to start Thanks so much. >>Good luck HTH mandi in UK

Can you suggest any to sart with or are these in the enzymes you reccommeded? Can I start her the Pep and the enzymes at the same time? Or shouold I wait and try one at a time to see how she does on them? Dana said her son never did well on the pribiotics, how about your little one? Thanks so much! Guest guest
Not Mandi, but I have a mish-mash of a file if you want to e-mail me privately. I'll send it to you as an attachment. There are no shortage of good probiotics. My son didn't tolerate any probiotics we tried until we had the enzymes well under way. You should probably start the enzymes first, let him adjust, then start the probiotics. HTH, > > Thanks Mandy, > Here's another one for you. What are good probiotics? Guest guest
Hi Here's another one for you. What are good probiotics? >>Thats more tricky than enzymes because different ones work better for differnet kids. Can you suggest any to sart with or are these in the enzymes you reccommeded? >>>No probiotics are a seperate supplement. I use a UK based one from _www.bio-kult.com_ (http://www.bio-kult.com) and a US produced one called CP1 from here _www.customprobiotics.com_ (http://www.customprobiotics.com) both of these have several strains. Just like the enzymes, you would start out slowly with just a portion of a capsule for a few days and build up. Just putting the 'good bacteria' in can cause a 'die off' (if you don;t know what this is - ASK!) Can I start her the Pep and the enzymes at the same time? >>Peptizyde is an enzyme, always best to start just one thing at a time then you can be sue whats helping and whats not which down the line will save you many headaches and lots of $ Or shouold I wait and try one at a time to see how she does on them? Dana said her son never did well on the pribiotics, how about your little one? >>Dana's son I think was quite unusual in this - I beleive many of the reactiosn are die off but Dana is VERY tuned into her kids and they were VERY sensitive so I don;t doubt her for a mintue. Sam had die off reactions in the way of behaviours - hyper and silly and rashes but since we have the yeast under control, his Eczema has gone and if he gets a rash I know he's yeasty again. Its tricky to tell, you have to use the mommy instinct, guess and experiment some. Good luck HTH Mandi in UK

Can I give her something > along with the GSE to prevent this from happening? If I gave GSE when yeast was no longer there, it would cause a bad bacteria problem. So you want to stop it once the yeast is gone. If I gave it longer and bacteria showed up, I gave Culturelle for a few days. >>Also, can you > reccommend any enzymes you would start with? I use HNI enzymes for my family http://www.houstonni.com/ Dana Her first appt. with a > DAN doc is on December 29th so I'm not sure what's going on with her > yet but I want to get going on something.
