My NT daughter has this, and it goes on for *months. posted an article recently talking about the yeast/allergy connection -- that the yeast is secreting substaces that mess with the immune system so that it gets reactive to all kinds of things (pollen etc). In that case the phelgm isn't die-off but part of an immune reaction caused by the yeast. So I'm treating her aggressively for yeast and hoping the cough finally goes away. Fingers crossed. Guest guest
My daughter and I have this phlegm, slight cough issue since starting primal defense--I think it is die-off/reaction to pollen /and continuing yeast issues (nice and specific-lol). > In a message dated 5/31/2004 2:28:40 AM Eastern Standard Time, > karitrautman@e... writes: > > > is having a bad case of cough/phlegm/gag-like-reflux. > > My NT daughter has this, and it goes on for *months. posted an article > recently talking about the yeast/allergy connection -- that the yeast is > secreting substaces that mess with the immune system so that it gets reactive to > all kinds of things (pollen etc). Guest guest
My daughter developed this about 2 months ago. The only thing we've figured out is allergies, but I don't think that's the whole story. I dodn't think it was yeast for her but I will keep an eye on that. After about 2 weeks of this little throaty cough, it reduced to just coughing when she ate, which really concerned us. During the last 2 months she's had a little cold that went away and now she's just done with an ear infection and big cold. If anyone else has thoughts on this please post them. Thank you! Becky > I think starting the day I ended up doing a dairy infraction, is having a bad case of cough/phlegm/gag-like-reflux. At the beginning of treatment 6 months ago, for almost 2 weeks she had this and it was clearly what is a sign of yeast die-off with excess mucous. Something distinctly different than a cold because it didn't really progress. She just started it up again and I was waiting to see if it was a cold, but now 3 days later am sensing it's not. Thinking it might be allergies which she is prone to just not this symptom, but wondering if anyone has dealt with this? Or again is it possible triggered by the dairy infraction? She is on a new probiotic which for the first 5 days caused die-off with the signs emotionally related, but that again perhaps could be it. > Thanks, > Kari > >
