Guest guest
DD received a high copper/zinc ratio. This comes from her Metallothionein Profile. Details below: zinc serum Low at 9.48/range 10.0 - 17.0 plasma metallothionein High at 5.58/range 0.0 - 2.8 plasma metallothionein/red blood cell High at 1.00/range 0.0 - 0.1 nonceruloplasmin-copper High at 8.20/range 0.0 - 1.6 copper/zinc High at 2.12/range 0.9 - 1.2 She tested within range for the whole blood, red blood cell, glutathione, ceruloplasmin, ceruloplasmin-copper adn copper serum. Should I start with a zinc suppliment? What should I do about the copper? Still waiting on the results of her hair test. Ann
Guest guest
zinc is easy to supplement with cut down source naturals optizinc. if you start very low you should be ok, however you may have to find a striaght zinc methione without the tiny bit of copper than optizinc has in between zinc and molybdenum you will drag the copper down so much that you need to supplement copper at some point maybe even right from the start. the copper issue is not simply a question fo high copper, the right form of copper may be deficent. > DD received a high copper/zinc ratio. Guest guest
> Should I start with a zinc suppliment? Yes, start at low dose and see how it affects her. >> What should I do about the > copper? Zinc should help. Also, you can consider removing sources of current exposure, scroll down here http://www.danasview.net/metals.htm Dana
Guest guest
Hi Ann, sorry I'm so tardy with my reply -- way behind right now. We tried several different forms of zinc but ds had trouble with them until we started with BrainChild's LiquiZinc. I can't rave enough about how much progress he's made since we got him ramped up to Pfeiffer's recommended dose. He loves the taste, too. > DD received a high copper/zinc ratio.
