Guest guest
To those of you using melatonin: I just had an intense conversation with the pharmacist at Coastal Compounding. (They are so great over there.) When I told him my son's recent histamine test result, he said that is under great oxidative stress and needs some relief until I can get some methylation supps under way. I have avoided even thinking about melatonin because I am so afraid of giving that " drugged " feeling. Can anyone tell me, does your child behave differently after the melatonin and before the sleep? Does s/he seem spacey, doped up, that kind of reaction? Life must just be so overwhelming to him sometimes, I'm really afraid to make it worse. We're using the epsom salts right now to help with sleep, and he has definitely improved, but he still has a long, long way to go with sleep improvement. To be honest, he really only sleeps about eight hours a night, with a lot of restlessness. And that's a good night. Because of school, naps are short, if they happen at all. I really want to bring him some relief. And for how long is it okay to supplement with melatonin? TIA,
