Guest guest
I have tried twice to start my son on enzymes but both times his bm's became very liquid. He does not have to go to the bathroom more often, just the consistency of his bms is affected. This second trial I went very gradually and slowly - about 1/4 of a peptizyde capsule twice a day (at the most) but after only 2 days we saw the very loose bms. Is this normal? Last time I backed off and stopped altogether, should I wait this out and see if his bowels adjust over time? His behavior actually seems to improve on the enzymes so I would love to keep up with them. Thanks,
Guest guest
, There can be an initial period of very loose stools. The body needs to get used to processing more food and liquid, and improved nutrition. In addition, enzymes can be removing debris and pathogens in the gut. The body may be trying to flush this gunk out. You can try again for 7-10 days and just let the cleaning out run its course (that is a fixed period of time you give yourself). Or try again with just Zyme Prime (whatever broad spectrum you are using), and wait on the Peptizyde. This may make the transition more tolerable. Overall, cleaning stuff is good but I can understand the concern. My younger son had very loose stools for a couple days starting enzymes (he is the one with the bacteria and colon problems). The other son didn't. Just various by the person. .
