Guest guest
Hi Does this mean he's not getting any with a CFGF meal or snack? I would suggest giving him one with everything he eats. My son was hyper in the beginning too - turned out to be yeast die off, after we attacked that actively, the good stuff shone through. Don't give up yet! Mandi in UK I started very slowly and he is now getting a full cap at each meal or snack w/ gluten or casien.
Guest guest
> We've been doing enzymes w/ now for almost 3 wks now. I am not noticing a whole lot of improvement. I'm doing the AFP Pep and he seems to tolerate it well. I started very slowly and he is now getting a full cap at each meal or snack w/ gluten or casien. It is a pita. It does seem to make him a little hyper, but not too bad. I don't feel like it's really helping though... how long should I keep at this to see if it works? Try rotating foods. My son still did not tolerate certain foods, even with enzymes. > I have been giving him the enzymes in a spoonful of honey mostly... I feel like he is getting too much honey. I did this at first. Then I learned that the enzymes did not help him with honey. Try giving it with something else, like applesauce or peanut butter, see if that helps. Guest guest
I gave it several months without seeing any of the big gains on all 3 enzymes. Then I cut back to breakfast because she wasn't tolerating the chocolate I mixed them in (finding something to mix them with is a problem for us also) but she would take them in the oj in the morning-she refueses oj at other times of the day. She was doing great so I tried just stopping the enzymes and I noticed a decline within 48 hours. So I would suggest trying them for a couple months then try decreasing or dropping them and see what happens. Now my daughter takes AFP with just breakfast; I know this doesn't make sense but she's doing great with it just at breakfast and I can't drop that dose or I encounter lots of little behavior problems. Best Wishes! Becky > We've been doing enzymes w/ now for almost 3 wks now. I am not noticing a whole lot of improvement. I'm doing the AFP Pep and he seems to tolerate it well. He will eat chocolates w/ them, but I don't want to be giving him 5 chocolate wafers a day, kwim? > > Argh... this is frustrating. I swear he cannot sit w/o figeting either and he bit my butt this evening too.
