Hi ,

I have been hesitant to try Optizinc by Source Naturals because of

the copper in it. But at this point I think I may give it a try.

I know yo say you take a quarter of the tablet daily, but my son is

four and weighs 37 lbs. So I wouldn't know how much to give.

My four yr. old son has been mouthing/chewing on inedible objects

for the past couple of months again. He's been on zinc picolinate,

and I have also tried Kirman's Biomax series zinc. Neither has

stopped him from putting this stuff in his mouth. Now he has a few

chipped teeth...

If I let you know his results from the hair test and urine test from

several months ago, can you tell me how much of an issue the copper

would be?

Please help...I have to stop the chewing on barbie shoes, dixi cups

keys, book bindings etc...

If you want you can e-mail me privately, and let me know what

exactly what info. from the tests you need.

Thanks,

zinc methionine is the best absorbed by miles from test results i

have seen.

i think i would try 1/8th or even 1/16th of a tablet once a day and

work it up from there perhaps ending up with 1/8th of a tablet twice

a day.

the hair test results would be interesting to see. scanning to a jpg

and putting in the files section on this board is easiest.

all i caa say is i am having incrediable results on copper with zinc

now. been getting flea bites with no raised bite! real feral fleas!

high copper can be high copper from say drinking water or its just a

reflection of minerals transport disorder like high aluminium and

probably due in part to low zinc and molybdenum

if the amount of copper in the optizinc is to much then you can get

striaght zinc methionine formulations. but optizinc is ideal to test

the copper issue i think.
