Guest guest
Dear , I'm glad your posting caught my eye about the cyanocobalamin form of B12. It's in the folic acid combo I give my 15 year old daughter to counteract any hyperactivity from the TMG she takes. What do I do now? Re: Re: New - any ideas? Not to mention that the B12 is in the form of cyanocobalamin, which releases cyanide in the body. People with gut issues, immune problems, etc. should never take cyanocobalamin, but rather the co-enzyme forms adenosylcobalamin methylcobalamin instead. Companies which use low grade B12 like cyanocobalamin are simply trying to cut corners, as B12 is the most expensive component of a multivitamin. Methylcobalamin costs 10 times more than cyanocobalamin. This is the acid test for me when I am evaluating a company's quality standards. Hyping high quality and then using cheap, low grade ingredients is hypocritical at best. Guest guest
, What else is in that supplement? I may be able to help you find a comparable one without cyanocobalamin. Guest guest
It's my local health food store brand of 800 mcg folic acid and 25 mcg B 12. I actually gave her TMG without it today and saw no problems. Maybe she doesn't even need it, but I did read somewhere that the longer you are on TMG it depleates folic acid from the body which in turn depleates B12. Guest guest
, If you decide you want to switch, here is what would recommend: http://www.kirkmanlabs.com/products/dmg_tmg/tmg/TMG_Folinic295_200.html It contains folinic instead of folic acid and methylcobalamin instead of cyanocobalamin. Take care, On Sunday, May 2, 2004, at 02:20 PM, Dougherty wrote: > It's my local health food store brand of 800 mcg folic acid and 25 mcg > B 12. > I actually gave her TMG without it today and saw no problems. > Maybe > she doesn't even need it, but I did read somewhere that the longer you > are > on TMG it depleates folic acid from the body which in turn depleates > B12. > > Re: Re: New - any ideas? > > > > > > Not to mention that the B12 is in the form of cyanocobalamin, which > > releases cyanide in the body. Guest guest
Hi , THANK YOU for referring me to this product. Sometimes is just easier to buy something at the local health food store to cut down on shipping and handeling prices, but in this case, would probably do better with the Kirkman's brand.
