Guest guest Posted September 4, 2004 Report Share Posted September 4, 2004 My two year old is taking AFP Peptizyde and HN Zyme Prime. We are on the scd. The diet has worked well for his constipation. Before scd he only had what I called rabbit movements with the GFCF diet. Hard little green balls. His bowlmovements look normal except I noticed the past few times that there is a few tiny small hard balls at one end and the rest is normal. Is this a good combo of enzymes? Also, I noticed undigested carrots. I am a newbie when it comes to enzymes. Any advice? Thanks in advance. Many times I have given my son enzymes and he hasn't eaten anything at that time with no harm what so ever. There are people in this group who believe, through experience and as well as supporting science theory/observations that some enzymes such as HNI AFP Peptizide help also address systemic viral issues and some have experience with HNI No-Fenol being effective for yeast control. I have had some positive experience with the latter. Also there are enzymes such as those in products like Candex and Candidase that control yeasy by digesting the cell wall of yeast. Many also in this group use Vira Stop (an enzyme by Enzymedica) to address chronic viral issues. So, to answer your question, it all depend on what type of enzyme you are using but frankly, I or my 3 1/2 yo son have never had any adverse reaction to any enzymes, even when taken on an empty stomach and without food.
