Guest guest
Hi, We have been treating my son for yeast with nystatin for 18 days. The first 11 days, we were mistakenly giving some of the doses with food. We then learned to give them away from meals so we have been doing that since. Either way, we are not seeing many changes while using the nystatin. Not positives or negatives. He has had many yellowish foamy stools, but no real negative die off symptoms. We have treated him before with black walnut hull and enzymes between meals for yeast. We saw more " die off " with those. His stool tests didn't indicate yeast, but our DAN Dr. wanted to treat because he knows that the test isn't always accurate. We have about 5 more days left of nystatin, but I am thinking of stopping now. I know that nystatin is tough on the liver, and since we are not seeing any positive or negatives I don't want to put him through this medication if it isn't needed. My questions: 1) is it safe to assume that since we are seeing no reaction whatsoever, that the yeast is either resistant to nystatin or we have finally gotten the yeast undercontrol? 2) could his yellow foamy very smelly stools be bacteria and not yeast? His stool analysis did indicate an overgrowth of bad bacteria and our next treatment will target that. 3) should I give his little body a rest for a while before starting the bacteria treatment? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! mom to Sam 28 months ASD and Madelyn 14 months NT

Try going back to those. > 1) is it safe to assume that since we are seeing no reaction > whatsoever, that the yeast is either resistant to nystatin or we > have finally gotten the yeast undercontrol? For my kids, they never had " die off " symptoms, they would just improve. But since you say you have not seen *any* difference, then one of your above statements is probably true. > 2) could his yellow foamy very smelly stools be bacteria and not > yeast? His stool analysis did indicate an overgrowth of bad > bacteria and our next treatment will target that. He might have both bacteria AND yeast. > 3) should I give his little body a rest for a while before starting > the bacteria treatment? Probably not required. Guest guest
>. Has anyone used ThreeLac? How did it work?>> We did do ThreeLac. I took it and my 3 year old too it. It did not make any difference for us. I had it muscle tested against my son and it was actually harming him.
