Guest guest
Hi, same idea, different medium: we use Pau D' Arco. I buy it in bulk from the health food store. I googled info on it, and I use a weak infusion of 1/3 cup bark to 3 cups water - boil 7-10 min, let steep while cooling. We started with 2tblsp in drink in AM and PM. Up to half a cup daily. Our results? Like all our other interventions, moderate improvements (eye contact, bowel function) over the past six weeks. My son is phenol sensative too, and this has given him no issues. Sorry my info is not on Ojibwa, but HTH! -christine In , " CYNDITK " <cynditk@h...> wrote: > > Hi all, > > I am looking into Ojibwa tea, but I am concerned about using it as > my son is extremely sensitive to phenols. Any feedback? I am not sure it is really phenolic. Might not be a problem. Have you contacted the company ()? >>>Also, anyone know what is the reason people are advised against using it with Secretin? Haven't heard this either. Is there a link I can go to that describes this? It shouldn't be a problem, though. The Objibwa tea has always had good reports for years as a detox aid. The probiotic sold was called Perfect Stool but is now called Perfect Colon (last time I checked). .

Guest guest
My son was incredibly sensitive to phenols, made vitamins, supplements, etc. almost impossible, as manufactures like to doctor these things up with flavors to get it into the kids. The reality turned out to be not just the phenols, but the particular things these high phenol foods fed. The specific bacteria and yeast my son had were all fed by these high phenol foods, so while enzymes helped, got nutrients to my son, addressing the underlying bacteria and yeast issues were what made the phenols no longer so problematic. We did Ojibwa tea for a couple of years, and were happy we did so. It was a gentle way for us to address our son's needs and build him up for the more serious intervention we ended up using.
