Hi Everyone,

As many of you are probably aware, Lang, BrainChild's founder, will

once again be speaking at the AutismOne conference in Chicago next

week. This year he will be giving two talks. One is on keeping our home

environment free of toxins. The other is the following very interesting

technical topic:

Beyond Methylation: Thimerosal's Impact on DNA and Sulfur-Dependent Redox

in Autism

A New Toxic/Sulfur/Genetic Impact Theory And Pathway of Recovery

The presentation itself is online at 's personal website:

Please feel free to pass this information on to anyone you know who is into

the biochemical side of autism. Any of you who are interested in the

underlying science of autism and want to look over the horizon into the

next generation of thinking will want to have a look. If you will be

attending, it might benefit you to look it over first, to start getting the

gist of it, thinking of questions, and so on. This is dense stuff, and

worth giving some thought and study. It's always an opportunity to fill

your brain with intriguing new science, when you get the chance to hear

talk in person.

You may also want to tune into the....

Sunday May 22 AutismOne Radio Broadcast

will be presenting a preview talk about his Beyond Methylation

AutismOne

presentation on Pathways of Recovery Sunday May 22 at 9:00 EST/6:00 PST on

AutismOne radio if you would like to have him respond to your questions on

the air,

please email them to me at mlang@... by noon EST on Sunday May

22.

Here's a little summary of the presentation:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------\

-----------------------------------------------

Presented by Lang, M.F.A

This presentation is a review of biochemical research papers that proposes

a new

unifying theory of how recycling or redox of biochemical processes governed by

iron-sulfur protein clusters are likely a primary impact biochemistry in

the wake of

mercury toxicity.

Mercury-initiated oxidative disruptions in iron-sulfur cluster-dependent redox

biochemically precede impairments methylation chemistry as proposed by the

groundbreaking research of Drs. and Neubrander.

These sulfur disruptions are the primary reason levels of reduced or active

glutathione (GSH) are low & levels of (GSSG) oxidized or spent glutathione are

elevated in Autism. This may be the biggest challenge in recovering and

maintaining the health of our children.
