Guest guest
Prue, That's an awesome update! I was wondering, do you feel you were successful in chelating some of the metals out via the antioxidants and such and not chelating medicine? Thanks, Kari 90% normal explanation Hi again Last week our doc said Harry's hair test is 90% normal!! I am so happy, especially as I can see it in him as well. He wasn't diagnosed until he had just turned 7 and I didn't start treatment until 10 months later... Anyway he first started him on a multi high in antioxidants to get rid of mercury, aluminium, copper and arsenic. He also started zinc and molybdenum. Prior to this he was having Mg So4 baths and had been on a very strict diet, which did help (but still lots of probs with aggression and sensory issues). He was found to be very low in vitamin c and very very low in iron, thanks to the diet. So, I noticed such a change in him straight away that I started looking into it myself and found this group. I learned so much on this group! I was up until 1am every night for four months until I knew as much as I could about nutritional treament. Now when I see the doctor we have a conversation, rather than him talking and me going yep, yep, yep. So I began with enzymes of course and stopped GF/CF straight away. We have had so much gut healing that he doesn't need them any more. OLE was fabulous as we had bad candida probs. LOTS of probiotics of course. Mg started him sleeping at night, which was fantastic, after 8 1/2 years! Glycine is still useful for calming but I am going to phase that out soon. Zinc and P5P and omega3 and selenium as well. Firm pressure massage helps enormously with tactile defensiveness. I am hoping to be able to phase everything out in 6 months. This list has been fantastic!!! Guest guest
Prue, I can't tell you how much I needed to read this post this morning. Our recent Pfeiffer test results show 's chemistry is more imbalanced than ever, after a year of intensive work. (There will be more on this once I get my head together, to be sure!) Yesterday the nurse told me the docs actually conferred about 's histamine levels. They were so high the docs wondered if it could be a mistake. Zinc and copper are worse, too. But I got a good night's sleep, and this morning have committed to buck up and go the long haul. I know we can do it. I've read your posts about Harry for a long time now, and I'm so proud of both of you. You've really worked hard, and it's paying off!!! I'm sure it will for us, too. Congratulations. You really deserve it. > Hi again > Last week our doc said Harry's hair test is 90% normal!! Guest guest
Prue, Hooray!!! and a big congratulations to your whole family!!! What really great news. Especially for anyone with an 'older' child of 7 or more. I am interested in the antioxidant angle too. If people did hair/mineral tests as often with enzymes and good nutrition such as antioxidants, my guess is that you would see metal removal often enough. It is also nice to hear that enzymes are no longer required for good health...means better health and gut healing! .
Guest guest
Have they suggested calcium butyrate, helped the histamine/ammonia issue here. Drooling went away, and ammonia issue cleared up. Only a stop gap measure. Goal is to heal the gut to the degree that the calcium butyrate is no longer needed, lots of times things like clostridia amp up an ammonia issue, as ammonia is one of clostridia's byproducts. Good luck to you. Re: 90% normal explanation > > > Prue, I can't tell you how much I needed to read this post this > morning. Guest guest
The product they recommended was a 500/500 cal/mag at night. I'm not sure if they're going by dosing, by type of cal and mag, or by both. I'll definitely look into that, . Thanks a lot. > Have they suggested calcium butyrate, helped the histamine/ammonia issue > here.
