Guest guest
I just had a 3 month follow up yeast/OATS test done and was wondering if anyone might be able to comment on their past experiences in testing for yeast. I realize some feel that the OATS test perhaps gave false negatives because there are so many types of yeast perhaps the test doesn't pick up a by-product produced by that strain, but wondering if anyone feels it gives false positives? For my daughter who has a real problem with yeast, it seems to be accurate. The telling value for her is aribinose. I was unsuccessful in verifying from anywhere besides GP that this truly is believed to be the result of yeast by-product, but would be interested to know if anyone has seen this somewhere else. For my daughter, her initial test was at a level of 125, with a max range of 47. Her 3 month check up was 93. Some of this I am sure is due to her having taken a round of antibiotics before the follow up test, however it was unavoidable due to the bronchitis. I know to not to expect it to go away over night, but was wondering what kind of drops others saw and in what time frame? Test score is actually reflective of her behavior, better, but still right there waiting to kick in the door. With another school break next Thursday, I'm going to use GSE. Thanks, Kari
