You can also consider oil of oregano or uva ursi or one of the other OTC yeast killers http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm Some people have good results with Candex. Guest guest
As Dana mentioned, some of us have good success with Candex. My daughter's yeast cleared with Diflucan the first time, but not the next time. Candex is an enzyme product that eats the cell wall of the yeast, so it should not matter the strain. We have had good success with it, and it won't harm the liver. I also tried Oil of Oregano, and it made my daughter amazingly hyper.--Tod > > > I have a 3 yr old who is autistic and has a major yeast issue going > > > on...her doc had her on a 2 week round of Diflucan and then suggested > > > garlic only..you can guess what happened...the yeast came back with a > > > vengeance...now what? My son did not tolerate this. I did put a few drops into an empty capsule, because the taste is VERY STRONG. Start with just one drop in the morning, to see how your child tolerates it. You can probably work up to 2-3 drops 2x per day if required. I would not give this on an empty stomach, it can cause a burning sensation.
