>>>His language is noticably improved--so I don't want to stop the

enzymes.

This is a very good sign. When you see positive improvements along

with the negatives, it just about always indicates an adjustment is

going on and the unwanted behavior ends shortly.

Aggressive behavior is noted with yeast/bacteria die-off. Do you

think this could be the case? The No-Fenol in particular can cause a

big die-off reaction. Adding it with the Zyme Prime might have been

too rapid. Both together could sharply reduce a pathogens food supply

as the person starts to absorb the food and nutrients instead. Try

reducing the No-Fenol by at least half and increase it more

gradually. Also epsom salts might help reduce any die-off related

discomfort.

>>>I also give the chewable AFP; I haven't heard many parents talk

about the chewable type. I

How are the chewables working out? I tried a bottle and thought they

were good. But my kids are 'older' and don't want any 'stuff' in

their food/drink. They just want to swallow capsules. One thing with

the chewable I didn't think of before is that a chewable would have

texture to it where the capsules don't. So if your child balks at any

type of chewable, see if the texture is an issue. Some chewable

supplements are rather gritty and don't readily dissolve.

>>>> Also, I just read a post by that she used PCA-Rx. Has

anyone else tried this? From what I have read, the side effects with

using this instead of DMSA are much less severe.

I met a few people who were using it before and talked to the fellow

in charge of the company and product at a conference a couple years

ago. They were very happy with it and the parents even had those test

results from the labs showing the colored bars that are suppose to

indicate metals or toxins coming out. These were the same tests that

people commonly run. I haven't heard any negatives about it...the

worse was that it didn't seem to help.

One of the dads was raving about it because they had done a couple

years of DMSA (and I think adding in the ALA afterawhile) and he said

his son improved more in less than a year on PCA than all the years

on other stuff. I don't know if the previous therapies contributed to

his success or not.

I also called the Metal-free and NFA companies. A File is in the File

section on those conversations.

One of my kids did that when he was eating a food or supplement he did

not tolerate. Your child might not tolerate one of the enzymes. Or,

this might be too much change at the same time. Consider doing only

one enzyme at a time.

My son did not tolerate goldfish crackers, even with enzymes.

It is based on ALA. I chelated my kids with straight ALA.

-I will definately take goldfish out of his diet. I gave him

goldfish before bed last night with 4 chewable AFP's. He woke up at

2:30 am and stayed WIDE awake until 5am. I had also put epsom salt

lotion on him before bed, so maybe I put too much salt in the

lotion. Today he is soooo hyper, won't take a nap, likcing things,

and it is really hard to gain his attention. I gave him regular

wheat pasta for lunch with 4 chewables-since he won't be back at

daycare for 4 days. I am confused about what is causing these side

effects. How can you tell if it is the enzymes or the gluten/casein?

Should I not be giving gluten and casein foods because I have just

introduced the enzymes? But on the other hand, that is what the

enzymes are for, right? My son's language is really improving so I

don't want to stop the enzymes. And now that I added Zyme prime and

no-fenol, if I take them out will it be harder to reintroduce them

at a later point? Should I just ride this out? I apologize for so

many questions!! It is just hard to see him acting so wacky!! Thanks

for your help!!

I assumed you meant goldfish CRACKERS. You didn't mean actual

goldfish, did you?

=)

This was my son's reaction to cheese culture, especially if it was

orange cheese. No-Fenol enzyme might help your child, but it did not

help mine.

Give the enzymes without any gluten/casein. After a few days of no

problems, add JUST wheat flour [bake it into cookies or pancakes or

something]. Then add JUST milk [whole milk, not reduced fat, organic

is best].

Some kids don't tolerate gluten and/or casein, even with enzymes.

My son tolerated gluten/casein, but not OTHER things, like corn syrup

and a few other items.

My son's language is really improving so I

Keep the enzymes, but go back to his previous diet. Wait about a

week. Then add ONE thing at a time, as I mentioned earlier.
