Guest guest
Hi ; My name is Eileen and I too am new to this. My son is 20 and I am not ready to give up on him either. We too have tried every therapy except the GFCF diet. Some little progress with most, but he's still Autistic-My 22 year old daughter just asked what I wanted to get out of all this with the enzymes-First time she really took an interest. I told her I wanted off medications Risperdal and Trileptal and to help reduce his hearing sensitivity (needs to where head phones all the time), anything else is gravy. I told her I would love for him to progress to where he could take care of himself-Not a rocket scientist-Just take care of himself because right now he is nowhere near ready. So we are all in this together. I started last week with PEP and ZP. No real results yet, no real problems either. Started No Fenol yesterday-needed to reduce the dose-caused diahrea and kept him from falling asleep. Im waiting for Candex and Culturelle. My son has been on risperdal since he was 12 due to aggression. He would just have melt downs out of the blue. I had him tested for seizures as the rages were soooo bad. He has very few now, but I can see them coming on and just try to keep calm. Funny they only happen to me. Not to my husband or daughter, or any other family member for that matter. Oh well-I have been asking alot of questions and everyone has been pitching in to help. These are wonderful people. I hope that I get as good at this as they are so I can pass the help on. Here is my Miralax info http://www.danasview.net/miralax.htm >>As a result, my son is getting constipated again even > though I have started giving him lots of magensium and a product called > Benefiber every day. Enzymes and magnesium eliminated my famiy's constipation. You can also consider vitamin C or some of the other ideas from my constipation page above. > So, here I am. Try adding the No-Fenol, that might help address any phenol issues he has, plus it can also help with yeast. Good luck. Dana
