Guest guest
Hi , Well, I've used Theralac for a few months now and I like it a lot, the best of at least 10 probiotic products I've tried over many years. So I can tell you what I like about it, and what I've heard about threelac. Theralac is a probiotic containing several very carefully chosen strains of human bacteria. The guy who made it has been involved in making probiotics for like, 20 years or so, so he knows his strains. He tells me he gets them from labs in Scandinavia, and I think he's quite particular. The thing that's really unusual about Theralac, though, is that he uses a new kind of coating made of grape skin extract to protect the live strains of bacteria until they get into the intestines so they won't get killed by the stomach acid, the way most probiotics do. So if your kid will take pills it's especially good, because taking the capsules whole helps make sure the probiotics reach the intestines in good shape. If you can't take pills, I think his strains are still quite good and comparable to other probiotics. What I've found with Theralac that's different from all the others I've tried is that just one capsule every day or every other day keeps candida down for us the large majority of the time. This is remarkable. Even giving 8 big capsules of Primal Defense (my second-favorite probiotic) daily, I found that yeasty symptoms popped up at least one or two times a month. The website for Theralac is www.theralac.com . From what I've read, threelac is a probiotic in flavored powder form that you can add to liquids. The faq I found on it (http://www.iwr.com/candida/questions.html) says that it also is encapsulated in some way to get it past the stomach. If I was going to try it, I'd try to find more information on how this is done and what flavorings and other ingredients are used in it, to make sure it wasn't going to cause a reaction in sensitive kids. I don't know much about it other than that. I have tried many, many probiotics over the years, and the only real way to tell if they're worth your money is to give them a try, imo. Each child seems to react a little differently and also different probios seem to work best for different kids. Guest guest
I've tried both and my son didn't seem to tolerate either one. So I went back to using L.acidophilus and homemade goat yogurt. The L.Acidophilus is from www.customprobiotics.com Threelac is found at www.threelac.com but if you sign up (free), they send more info. Guest guest
> Also if you treat yeast with No-Fenol and a probiotic, do you need to add anything else? Depends on how severe is the yeast condition. >>I have seen things like GSE and oreganol, but Im not sure if this is performing the same function as the No-Fenol? No-Fenol breaks down the yeast cell wall, allowing your yeast killer to work more effectively. GSE and oreganol are the active yeast killers.
