Guest guest
Just an update about the iodine testing. It has taken 13 hrs with each application with the exception of one test done yesterday that the stain was gone in 4 hrs but I think it is because I swabbed right after his shower and the body temp made a difference. Anyway two days of 96.4 temp in morning. Just to let you know that my son has just been great since Saturday. No outbursts, calm, wants to be around us more, not napping in morning until noon. He had a Neuro appt today and the doctor noticed something different right away. He asked how the enzymes were going (not well Im afraid) so he asked what I was doing because my son was so calm and he had never seen him that way before. I told him about the iodine tests (which he knew nothing about)He was ready to write a script for the TSH right there and then but I know they do that at our appt with Pfeiffer so I told him not to. He wants to hear from me at the end of the week to see how the iodine test progresses and how his behavior is. Now he really doesnt agree with us going to Pfeiffer. He just feels that it is a waste of money as he believes in the therory but has never seen that much improvement. I told him it was something we needed to do as our guy is not at all healthy. Now I do believe there are underlying issues which are giving us a hard time with the enzymes so maybe we just happen to fall upon somthing here. So soon to tell but I was soooo excited that he even noticed anything. BTW I mentioned his old tests on calcium (he wasnt his doctor then) and asked why his Blood calcium levels would be elevated if he never consumes calcium from food. He checked his current levels which are 9.7-normal range. But why if my son does not consume calcium would his levels still be high normal instead of showing defiency. He just looked at me and was as confused as I was, he said none of my sons tests really look " normal " . The other thing that I thought of was the Iodized Salt that I use. I mentioned that my son loves salt. Maybe its the iodine in the salt that he has been craving.....Just a thought.
