Guest guest
Our daughter had the Doris Rapp allergy test. It took several weeks to complete, but we found out which foods, dust, mold, trees, etc. caused behavioral problems. For instance, she's allergic to many things, but we could see first hand that corn caused an adverse behavioral reaction - not just a hives or itchy eyes. She actually behaved differently - she said " nobody loves me " " I hate myself " she threw her doll on the floor and said " stupid doll " . When she was given the neutralizing dose of corn - she stopped the behavior within minutes. I always wondered why she acted that way at times. Now, I knew. The test was great because the kids don't have to be stuck - they can use sub lingual drops. Although, she is allergic to many things - we keep her away from corn products at all costs. I'm glad we used the Doris Rapp test. Shari Primer <sprimer1@...> wrote: Dr Rapp is defineately worth watching! Also interesting that our natural flavors won't be properly labeled until 2006. If for nothing else it really promotes the acpect of cross contamination! kari95135 <karitrautman@...> wrote: I was just informed that she is on the show, and does a segment on creating an awareness of food sensitivities. I actually recall seeing her on Phil Donahue 20+ years ago doing the same! On it, they show the reaction (berserk) of a child who has a few bites of tomato. For California, it's on at 3:00 PM NBC. Guest guest
We didn't see Dr. Rapp. We used an allergist who follows her protocol. We watched a video made by Dr. Rapp at the doctor's office so we could understand and be prepared for the differences between her test and a multi-prick test or an allergy blood test. There's only allergist in the state of Arkansas who does the Dorip Rapp testing and it is not covered by insurance. I believe it cost around $1500.00 including the neutralizing sub lingual drops to bring home. We couldn't afford to continue the drops - but we know NOT to give her corn. I've thought about going back and just getting the corn drops to neutralize our daughter's symptoms. I may do that. I think chelating will help and the enzymes, too. Maybe you could find someone in your area that follows Dr. Rapp's protocol. You need to get her book " Is This Your Child " - and the video was amazing, but the doctor had it.
